AVON, OH – The National Association of Professional Baseball, formerly known as the Frontier League, has announced its schedule for its 34th season — its first playing as the NAPB. Joining the NAPB for the 2027 season are two clubs who are new to the league but well-known to professional baseball: the Kane County Cougars and Cleburne Railroaders. The 2027 regular season will begin on Thursday, May 6th, with 20 teams across the U.S. and Canada fielding clubs for the 102 game regular season. Both Cleburne and Kane County will kick off their regular seasons at home on Opening Day 2027, with the Gateway Grizzlies making their maiden voyage to take on the Railroaders and the Schaumburg Boomers traveling to Geneva, IL to face the Cougars. The Florence Y’alls join Cleburne and Kane County as an Opening Day host, bringing the Lake Erie Crushers to town. The 2026 Frontier League Champion Ottawa Titans will open their season one day later, playing host to the Trois-Rivières Aigles at Ottawa Stadium, fresh off of Ottawa's record-setting year. Not only did the Titans secure their first league championship, but they also opened the season by setting the league’s regular season attendance record and finished it by setting multiple MLB Professional Partner League playoff attendance records — including a single-game playoff attendance record 10,303 fans during the League’s Championship Series Game 3. The 2026 Midwest Conference Champion Evansville Otters open their home campaign at EVSC’s Historic Bosse Field on May 14 vs. the Mississippi Mud Monsters. Their opponents in the Midwest Conference Finals, the Washington Wild Things, travel to Kinston, NC to begin their season against the Down East Bird Dawgs. The Atlantic Conference runners-up New York Boulders begin at home vs. the Brockton Rox. The first All-Star Week under the new National Association name is scheduled to be celebrated July 13th and 14th. Location and details will be announced during the offseason. Holiday celebrations, returning — and new! — favorite in-stadium promotions, and soon-to-be-announced special events throughout the season will be featured across the NAPB footprint. 2027 is shaping up to be a year of excitement and growth in the National Association. "We are in an exciting period as we announce our first schedule under the National Association brand. Adding to our presence in Chicago with the Kane County Cougars plus expanding to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with the Cleburne Railroaders strengthens the league overall. Coming off a tremendous playoff run culminating with Ottawa setting a Partner League attendance record, we are eagerly counting down the days to our 2027 season."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 25, 2026 Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club set a new MLB Partner League single-game playoff attendance record on Friday, selling out Game Three of the 2026 Frontier League Championship Series with 10,303 tickets sold. The record-setting crowd surpasses the previous playoff attendance mark by more than 2,000 fans, set by the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League at 8,143 fans on September 21, 2018, establishing a new standard for postseason attendance. It also marks the largest playoff crowd for an MLB Partner League game in Canada, passing 8,414 in Winnipeg for Game Three of the 1994 Northern League Finals. The historic night comes just months after the Titans set the Frontier League’s all-time single-game regular-season attendance record, welcoming 10,278 fans to Ottawa Stadium for the 2026 Home Opener on May 8. “Tonight is another incredible milestone for the Ottawa Titans, the Frontier League and baseball in this community,” said Martin Boyce, General Manager of the Ottawa Titans. “Our fans continue to show just how special baseball is and how strong it is in Ottawa-Gatineau.” The record crowd has packed Ottawa Stadium with energy as the Titans continue their postseason run, with the Club looking for its first title in franchise history. The Titans entered Game Three with the best-of-five series tied at one apiece – with the two teams splitting the opening games at Historic Bosse Field in Evansville, Indiana earlier this week. Tonight’s record crowd marks another milestone in a historic fifth season for the Titans, who finished the 2026 regular season with a franchise-record 57 wins and have continued to build on record-setting attendance growth throughout the campaign. “This is what #FullSwing looks like,” added Boyce. “Our players, our staff, and most importantly, our fans have brought this place to life all season long. Ottawa Stadium is full of energy tonight, and we’re incredibly proud to share this moment with our community.” The Ottawa Titans thank the 10,303 fans who helped make MLB Partner League history tonight and continue to support professional baseball in Canada’s Capital. “We congratulate the Ottawa Titans on yet another attendance record,” outlined Steve Tahsler, Frontier League Commissioner. “Starting with the Opening Day sellout, the Ottawa/Gatineau community has shown amazing support for the Titans and the Frontier League all season. It is appropriate that our 2026 season ends this weekend in such a passionate and engaged community.” The Ottawa Titans continue the 2026 Playoffs, remaining at home for Game Four of the Frontier League best-of-five Championship Series against the Evansville Otters on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at OttawaStadium. Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans defeated the Evansville Otters 4-0 in Game Four of the 2026 Frontier League Finals to be crowned champions for the first time in franchise history. Ky Hampton (win, 2-0) led the charge, retiring the first 16 batters he faced. He tossed eight scoreless frames, allowed just three hits, and struck out seven, earning himself Frontier League Playoff MVP honours. Jackie Urbaez got the party started, launching a 375-foot solo shot to give the Titans a 1-0 first-inning lead. Myles Smith singled and stole second, then scored on an AJ Wright double. In the fourth, Jake Steels doubled to left, and Urbaez picked up his second RBI of the day with a single to centre, extending the lead to 3-0. The Otters looked like they had something cooking as Mark Black broke up the perfect game bid in the sixth and advanced to second, putting a runner in scoring position with two outs. Zac Vooletich singled, and as Black attempted to score, Myles Smith fired a frozen rope to nail him at the plate and preserve the shutout. In the bottom of the eighth, the Titans added insurance on a sac fly from Rainer Nuñez to put the game out of reach. Eric Pardinho closed out the game, retiring the side in order, as the Titans stormed the field in celebration. AJ Wright went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Urbaez went 2-for-4 with an RBI. The veteran duo shined in what could be their final game together, achieving their goal and bringing a championship to the Nation's Capital. AVON, OH - The Frontier League announced today that the Ottawa Titans have received the Commissioner’s Award of Excellence following a record-setting 2026 season both on and off the field. The Commissioner’s Award of Excellence recognizes organizations and individuals who make an extraordinary impact on the Frontier League through their work, accomplishments, and contributions to the growth of the league. Ottawa opened the 2026 season by setting a new Frontier League single-game attendance record on May 8, selling 10,278 tickets for their home opener at Ottawa Stadium. “We congratulate the Ottawa Titans on another outstanding season,” Frontier League Commissioner Steve Tahsler said. “Starting with the record-setting crowd on Opening Night, the Titans organization demonstrated throughout the 2026 season why they are one of the top operations in all professional baseball. When all club staffs visited Ottawa last fall for our annual staff meetings, it was evident how proud the Titans are to represent Canada’s Capital Region.” The record-setting opener highlighted another year of attendance growth for the Titans. Ottawa finished the regular season fourth in the Frontier League in both total and average attendance, welcoming 116,302 fans across 47 home games for an average of 2,475 fans per game. The 2026 season marked the fourth consecutive year of increased attendance for Ottawa. The Titans drew 99,004 fans in 2025 after welcoming 94,140 in 2024, continuing a trend of attendance growth in every season since the organization began play. Ottawa also found success through a creative promotional schedule that generated attention throughout the season. One of the Titans’ most notable promotions came on July 7 with “Forget Brady Day.” Fans were invited to trade in Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk jerseys in exchange for Titans infielder A.J. Wright jerseys, with more than 50 fans participating in the promotion. The Titans’ promotional calendar also included Women in Baseball Night on July 17, Theme Night (Taylor’s Version), celebrating Taylor Swift, on July 31, and Soirée Francophone, celebrating Francophone culture, on August 8. Ottawa’s success extended to the field, where the Titans secured a Wild Card berth in the 2026 Frontier League playoffs. Ottawa will face the New Jersey Jackals in this week’s Wild Card Round, beginning with Game One at Ottawa Stadium on Thursday evening.

AVON, OH - The Frontier League announced today that New Jersey Jackals manager Bobby Jones has received the Commissioner’s Award of Excellence for his leadership and impact during the 2026 season. The Commissioner’s Award of Excellence recognizes organizations and individuals who make an extraordinary impact on the Frontier League through their work, accomplishments, and contributions both on and off the field. Jones returned to the Jackals as Field Manager ahead of the 2026 season and, with the help of assistant coaches Vlad Fontalvo and Grant Neary, led New Jersey to the largest single-season improvement in Frontier League history. The Jackals captured the East Division title with a 56-45 record, one year after finishing a league-worst 28-65 in 2025. The division championship was the first for New Jersey since the 2004 season when the club played in the Northeast League. “We congratulate Bobby and the New Jersey coaching staff for posting the largest single-season improvement in Frontier League history,” Frontier League Commissioner Steve Tahsler said. “Bobby is known throughout professional baseball for his dedication to his players. He continues to demonstrate his passion for making players better and is truly dedicated to his team.” Under Jones, the Jackals saw contributions from throughout the roster, including four players selected to represent the Atlantic Conference at the 2026 Y’all-Star Game. Third baseman Felix Stevens started for the Atlantic Conference and competed in the Home Run Derby during his first season with New Jersey. Stevens was also named the third baseman on the 2026 All-Frontier League Team. Utility player Luis Encarnacion was named Player of the Week in Week 5, while right-handed pitchers Leonardo Rodríguez and Sonny Fauci earned Pitcher of the Week honors in Weeks 7 and 13, respectively. The Philadelphia Phillies purchased the contract of infielder Daunte Stuart on June 18 and assigned him to the High-A Jersey Shore BlueClaws. Jones previously served as the manager for the Sussex County Miners in the Can-Am and Frontier Leagues, leading them to three playoff appearances, two berths in the Can-Am League Finals, and the 2018 Can-Am League title. A left-handed pitcher as a player, Jones played professionally for 16 years, including six seasons in the Major Leagues for the Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, San Diego Padres, and Boston Red Sox.
