AVON, OH – The National Association of Professional Baseball, formerly known as the Frontier League, has announced its schedule for its 34th season — its first playing as the NAPB. Joining the NAPB for the 2027 season are two clubs who are new to the league but well-known to professional baseball: the Kane County Cougars and Cleburne Railroaders. The 2027 regular season will begin on Thursday, May 6th, with 20 teams across the U.S. and Canada fielding clubs for the 102 game regular season. Both Cleburne and Kane County will kick off their regular seasons at home on Opening Day 2027, with the Gateway Grizzlies making their maiden voyage to take on the Railroaders and the Schaumburg Boomers traveling to Geneva, IL to face the Cougars. The Florence Y’alls join Cleburne and Kane County as an Opening Day host, bringing the Lake Erie Crushers to town. The 2026 Frontier League Champion Ottawa Titans will open their season one day later, playing host to the Trois-Rivières Aigles at Ottawa Stadium, fresh off of Ottawa's record-setting year. Not only did the Titans secure their first league championship, but they also opened the season by setting the league’s regular season attendance record and finished it by setting multiple MLB Professional Partner League playoff attendance records — including a single-game playoff attendance record 10,303 fans during the League’s Championship Series Game 3. The 2026 Midwest Conference Champion Evansville Otters open their home campaign at EVSC’s Historic Bosse Field on May 14 vs. the Mississippi Mud Monsters. Their opponents in the Midwest Conference Finals, the Washington Wild Things, travel to Kinston, NC to begin their season against the Down East Bird Dawgs. The Atlantic Conference runners-up New York Boulders begin at home vs. the Brockton Rox. The first All-Star Week under the new National Association name is scheduled to be celebrated July 13th and 14th. Location and details will be announced during the offseason. Holiday celebrations, returning — and new! — favorite in-stadium promotions, and soon-to-be-announced special events throughout the season will be featured across the NAPB footprint. 2027 is shaping up to be a year of excitement and growth in the National Association. "We are in an exciting period as we announce our first schedule under the National Association brand. Adding to our presence in Chicago with the Kane County Cougars plus expanding to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with the Cleburne Railroaders strengthens the league overall. Coming off a tremendous playoff run culminating with Ottawa setting a Partner League attendance record, we are eagerly counting down the days to our 2027 season."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 25, 2026 Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club set a new MLB Partner League single-game playoff attendance record on Friday, selling out Game Three of the 2026 Frontier League Championship Series with 10,303 tickets sold. The record-setting crowd surpasses the previous playoff attendance mark by more than 2,000 fans, set by the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League at 8,143 fans on September 21, 2018, establishing a new standard for postseason attendance. It also marks the largest playoff crowd for an MLB Partner League game in Canada, passing 8,414 in Winnipeg for Game Three of the 1994 Northern League Finals. The historic night comes just months after the Titans set the Frontier League’s all-time single-game regular-season attendance record, welcoming 10,278 fans to Ottawa Stadium for the 2026 Home Opener on May 8. “Tonight is another incredible milestone for the Ottawa Titans, the Frontier League and baseball in this community,” said Martin Boyce, General Manager of the Ottawa Titans. “Our fans continue to show just how special baseball is and how strong it is in Ottawa-Gatineau.” The record crowd has packed Ottawa Stadium with energy as the Titans continue their postseason run, with the Club looking for its first title in franchise history. The Titans entered Game Three with the best-of-five series tied at one apiece – with the two teams splitting the opening games at Historic Bosse Field in Evansville, Indiana earlier this week. Tonight’s record crowd marks another milestone in a historic fifth season for the Titans, who finished the 2026 regular season with a franchise-record 57 wins and have continued to build on record-setting attendance growth throughout the campaign. “This is what #FullSwing looks like,” added Boyce. “Our players, our staff, and most importantly, our fans have brought this place to life all season long. Ottawa Stadium is full of energy tonight, and we’re incredibly proud to share this moment with our community.” The Ottawa Titans thank the 10,303 fans who helped make MLB Partner League history tonight and continue to support professional baseball in Canada’s Capital. “We congratulate the Ottawa Titans on yet another attendance record,” outlined Steve Tahsler, Frontier League Commissioner. “Starting with the Opening Day sellout, the Ottawa/Gatineau community has shown amazing support for the Titans and the Frontier League all season. It is appropriate that our 2026 season ends this weekend in such a passionate and engaged community.” The Ottawa Titans continue the 2026 Playoffs, remaining at home for Game Four of the Frontier League best-of-five Championship Series against the Evansville Otters on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at OttawaStadium. If necessary, Game Five is Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at OttawaStadium. All the action can be heard on the Ottawa Titans Radio Network and 94.5 Unique FM, and live-streamed on Frontier League TV powered by HomeTeam Network. Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans defeated the Evansville Otters 4-0 in Game Four of the 2026 Frontier League Finals to be crowned champions for the first time in franchise history. Ky Hampton (win, 2-0) led the charge, retiring the first 16 batters he faced. He tossed eight scoreless frames, allowed just three hits, and struck out seven, earning himself Frontier League Playoff MVP honours. Through 15 innings pitched in the playoffs, Hampton allowed just one earned run on nine hits, walking one, and striking out twelve. Jackie Urbaez got the party started, launching a 375-foot solo shot to give the Titans a 1-0 first-inning lead. Myles Smith singled and stole second, then scored on an AJ Wright double. In the fourth, Jake Steels doubled to left, and Urbaez picked up his second RBI of the day with a single to centre, extending the lead to 3-0. The Otters looked like they had something cooking as Mark Black broke up the perfect game bid in the sixth and advanced to second, putting a runner in scoring position with two outs. Zac Vooletich singled, and as Black attempted to score, Myles Smith fired a frozen rope to nail him at the plate and preserve the shutout. In the bottom of the eighth, the Titans added insurance on a sac fly from Rainer Nuñez to put the game out of reach. Eric Pardinho closed out the game, retiring the side in order, as the Titans stormed the field in celebration. AJ Wright went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Urbaez went 2-for-4 with an RBI. The veteran duo shined in what could be their final game together, achieving their goal and bringing a championship to the Nation's Capital. As the Frontier League rebrands to the National Association of Professional Baseball for next season, the 2027 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
