AVON, OH – Ahead of their matchup in this week's Wild Card Round, the Evansville Otters claimed this season's final Player of the Week award. Outfielder LG Castillo earned the honor after hitting .571 (12-for-21) with five extra-base hits. Evansville Otters outfielder LG Castillo ended his week with a 1.448 OPS and five extra-base hits in a six-game series against the Down East Bird Dawgs. He recorded a ninth-inning, pinch-hit double on Wednesday for his first hit of the week. Castillo scored three runs while going 3-for-6 at the plate on Thursday. After an off day on Friday, Castillo returned to the Otters' lineup on Saturday with a perfect, 5-for-5 day. He tallied a pair of doubles and scored two runs in a win. Castillo logged another three hits — including a triple — on Sunday to conclude the regular season. Castillo is in his first season with the Otters. He played for the American Association's Gary SouthShore RailCats from 2022 to 2025, and the Washington Wild Things in 2022. Castillo was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2017 MLB Draft, and played parts of four seasons within the organization. He reached as high as High-A with the Carolina Mudcats in 2019 and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2021.

AVON, OH – Ahead of their matchup in this week's Wild Card Round, the Schaumburg Boomers claimed this season's final Pitcher of the Week award. Right-hander Kyle Moore earned the honor after pitching six scoreless innings. Schaumburg Boomers right-handed pitcher Kyle Moore delivered six shutout innings across three relief outings this week. Moore made his first appearance on Tuesday in a win against the Florence Y'alls, allowing one hit and no walks over two scoreless innings. Moore next appeared in mop-up duty in a 9-2 loss against the Washington Wild Things on Friday, striking out two in a perfect eighth inning. He pitched again on Sunday, delivering three shutout innings while the Boomers trailed. Schaumburg later took the lead and won, clinching the Midwest Division. Moore is in his second season with the Boomers. He re-signed with Schaumburg in March after pitching two games for the team in 2025. Moore also pitched in one game for the Pioneer League's Boise Hawks in 2025 after graduating from Missouri Southern that year. He is a native of Streamwood, IL, which borders Schaumburg to the west.

AVON, OH – In the regular season's penultimate week, Sussex County Miners right-handed pitcher Kellen Brothers delivered a strong performance to capture Pitcher of the Week. Brothers struck out 19 over 14 scoreless innings. Sussex County Miners right-handed pitcher Kellen Brothers recorded two scoreless starts to take home Pitcher of the Week. Brothers struck out ten batters across eight innings against the Trois-Rivières Aigles on Tuesday. He allowed five hits and walked none in a 14-2 Miners' victory. Brothers started again on Sunday against the New Jersey Jackals, striking out nine over six shutout innings. He allowed just one hit and walked two in the win. Overall, Brothers finished the week with 19 strikeouts, six hits allowed, and two walks over 14 scoreless innings. Brothers is in his third season with the Miners. He leads the League in strikeouts (128) this season and is among the League leaders in innings pitched (105.2). Brothers joined the Miners in 2024 after graduating from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where he was named All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference twice.

AVON, OH – In the regular season's penultimate week, Tri-City ValleyCats outfielder Dylan Broderick delivered a strong performance to capture Player of the Week. Broderick hit .444 (8-for-18) with four home runs and 11 RBIs. Tri-City ValleyCats outfielder Dylan Broderick tallied six extra-base hits in seven games to earn Player of the Week. Broderick opened his week by going 2-for-4 with a double against the Down East Bird Dawgs on Tuesday. He hit a two-run home run on Thursday in his only at-bat before the game was suspended. Broderick hit another two-run home run on Friday, scoring the first two of Tri-City's ten runs. He saved his best for last, going 3-for-4 on Sunday with a pair of home runs, six RBIs, and a walk. Broderick drove in all six runs with two swings, recording a grand slam in the third inning and a two-run home run in the fifth. Broderick is in his third season with the ValleyCats. He was named an All-Star this season, and his 1.009 OPS currently ranks seventh-best among qualified hitters. Broderick started his Frontier League career with the Washington Wild Things, for whom he played six games in 2023 after graduating from Pittsburgh-Johnstown University.

AVON, OH – As the final two weeks of the regular season dawn, teams are beginning to secure playoff spots. The Québec Capitales clinched a postseason berth last week thanks in part to Player of the Week T.J. Schofield-Sam. The infielder hit .545 (12-for-22) and drove in eleven runs for the Capitales. Québec Capitales infielder T.J. Schofield-Sam posted a 1.402 OPS and tallied three extra-base hits at the bottom of the order. He reached base five times on Wednesday, recording three hits and drawing a pair of walks. Schofield-Sam also recorded four RBIs and scored three runs in the Capitales' 16-2 win over the Sussex County Miners. Schofield-Sam again reached base five times on Friday, going 4-for-5 at the plate with a walk and driving in another run in a Québec win. He picked up his first home run of the season on Saturday amid a 4-RBI day. Schofield-Sam first joined the Capitales in early July after being acquired from the American Association's Winnipeg Goldeyes. The Ontario native spent the previous six seasons within the Athletics organization, playing as high as Double-A with the Midland RockHounds in 2025.

Cerda shut down the Washington Wild Things on Tuesday, working a perfect ninth inning and earning a save in a 4-1 Otters win. He picked up another save on Wednesday, recording the final out after entering the game with two runners on base. Cerda struck out the side on Friday against the Florence Y'alls to close out a 9-5 Otters win. He next appeared on Saturday, earning his third save of the week with a perfect inning. Cerda is in his first year with the Frontier League. He was named an All-Star this season, and his 18 saves rank second-most in the League. Cerda split his 2025 season between the American Association's Kansas City Monarchs and Gary SouthShore RailCats. Cerda pitched for four seasons within the Arizona Diamondbacks organization from 2021 to 2024, playing as high as High-A with the Hillsboro Hops in 2024.

AVON, OH – The Trois-Rivières Aigles earned their first weekly award of the year as right-handed pitcher Anthony Escobar struck out 13 while pitching a complete game to claim Pitcher of the Week.k. Trois-Rivières Aigles right-handed pitcher Anthony Escobar struck out 13 batters while nearly throwing a no-hitter to earn Pitcher of the Week. Escobar started against the New York Boulders on Wednesday and made it through the first 8.2 innings without allowing a hit. The Boulders scored two unearned runs in the ninth inning after an Aigles error and a two-run home run, but Escobar rebounded to record the final out. He finished the day with one hit, and zero walks allowed over nine innings of work. Escobar is in his first season with the Aigles. He split time in 2025 between the Lake Erie Crushers and the Atlantic League’s Long Island Ducks. Escobar also played for the Venezuelan Winter League’s Tiburones de La Guaira this past winter. He pitched four seasons within the Minnesota Twins organization, reaching as high as Single-A with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels in 2021 and 2022.

AVON, OH – As the Washington Wild Things look to clinch a playoff berth this week, the team picked up its eighth weekly award this year. First baseman Andrew Czech hit .545 (12-for-22), drew eight walks in six games, and drove in 12 runs to earn Player of the Week. Washington Wild Things first baseman Andrew Czech drove in 12 runs this week while hitting .545 to take home Player of the Week. Czech started his week with a 3-for-5 day at the plate on Tuesday against the Mississippi Mud Monsters. He recorded a pair of RBIs and hit two doubles in the Wild Things’ win. Czech drove in three more runs and reached base four times in the series’ second game and picked up two hits and one RBI on Thursday. On Friday, Czech drew four walks and scored a pair of runs. He tallied three hits on Saturday and launched a pair of home runs on Sunday to conclude the six-game series. Czech is in his sixth season with the Wild Things. He joined Washington in 2021 after graduating from Walsh University. Czech is the Wild Things’ franchise leader in several categories, including doubles (119), RBI (377), walks (391), and home runs (110). He’s the seventh different Washington player to earn a weekly award this season.

AVON, OH – With playoffs one month away, two hopeful contenders had winning weeks thanks in part to strong individual performances. Windy City ThunderBolts utility man Justin Fogel recorded seven extra-base hits in six games, drove in 11 runs, and posted a 1.744 OPS to earn Player of the Week. Meanwhile, Evansville Otters right-handed pitcher Alex Valdez pitched six scoreless innings out of the bullpen to claim Pitcher of the Week. Evansville Otters right-handed pitcher Alex Valdez threw six shutout innings in relief across four games to earn Pitcher of the Week. Valdez made his first appearance in game two of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Joliet Slammers, striking out two over two scoreless innings. Valdez pitched again on Thursday against Joliet and struck out another two batters during a perfect eighth inning. He pitched another perfect inning on Saturday against the Washington Wild Things, striking out one. The Otters turned to Valdez again on Sunday, and he pitched another two perfect innings in a win over the Wild Things. Valdez is in his third season with the Otters. He joined the team in July 2024 after spending the previous two years with the American Association’s Kansas City Monarchs. Valdez also pitched for four seasons within the Arizona Diamondbacks organization from 2018 to 2022, reaching as high as Single-A with the Visalia Rawhide in 2021 and 2022.
